The Futurians

The Futurians

I was laid off from the newspaper in February. I’ve been acting like a retired person since then – going for long walks, reading, random road trips and cleaning old cameras. This past week, I went for a long ramble on the Red Hill Creek. I lost the book I’m currently reading, a non-fiction account early SF fan communes in the 1930s and 1940s, and doubled back along the path to find it.

Paris in Spring

Paris in Spring

Paris, Ontario, has a very distinctive down town core, one which most casual visitors miss. The Grand and Nith Rivers flow through the town, and it was built on river trade. As such, most of the businesses down town have the remnant of old loading docks and piers.
