Ship of Souls

A Victorian family vault rises from the turf of the Hamilton Cemetery, like burrowing submarine. I shot this with a Brownie Box 2a, one that clearly needs some light-proofing. This was the camera that got me back into shooting film a couple of years ago. I’ve since acquired a much more light proof and usable Brownie 2, made sometime around 1907. It shoots lovely photos.  Some of my Brownie Box photos are going to show up in a BBC Magazine feature later this year. I’ll be sure to post a link.
